I rarely post outfits that I’m not wearing heels so with this look I wanted to create a more casual day out with friends type of outfit. Plus I tried this look with heels and I didn’t get the vibe I wanted.
If you’ve noticed I’m very laid back at the moment, on my social media accounts ( Instagram and twitter I had to leave Snapchat for a few reasons ) where I post because I have to since it’s my job but if it was other wise I’d have taken a short break to try figure things out and actually work on being a better me physically , mentally , emotionally and financially. But unfortunately I can’t afford that right now so I try as much as I can and do things and show out less as I figure out this thing we call life.
It's very hot right now in Dar Es salaam and that calls for "crops tops and showing some skin but still chic" looks so this look is exactly that. I'm at a point in my life where I'm very insecure about my hands ( they make me look buff (no.. not in a cute way )) so I wore the shirt to make it less obvious plus the colors went extremely well with my high waist nude pants and plastic sandals I bought from Mr Price in *Nairobi.
Fun Fact : My whole outfit minus the shoes is a thrift item and it cost me less than three thousand Tshs that’s like 60 Kes. I also want to do a post on looks to wear in Dar or places with such humid weather or staple pieces for such weather let me know if it’s something you’d like to see.
* I noticed Mr Price Dar gets the very old stock and i am yet to understand why they do this to us. I bought a pair of sandals from the Mr Price In Nairobi back in December (early December) and I went to our Mr price the other day only to realise the same stock that was there in December JUST came in this march. We clearly need to do better
